For Senator Risa Hontiveros there is no reason to give President Rodrigo Roa Duterte more power to address the rapid spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19).

"The proposed grant of additional powers to the executive branch is clearly unnecessary to address the most pressing needs of health workers, COVID-19 patients, and poor Filipinos alike in this critical period," boladas the senator.

According to the senator, there are existing laws to give the government an effective way to counter crises.

"Our existing laws already grant the government the powers and other necessary tools needed to mount an effective response against COVID-19," Hontiveros added.

Senadora Hontiveros also did not attend the special session, which discusses giving President Duterte the power to take immediate action on the covid-19 situation. According to the senator, he simply follows the protocol set by the Department of Health (DOH).

"I am strictly following the health protocol set by the DOH and am currently under self-quarantine set to end by March 25. As part of the Senate Minority, I have asked the Senate President to allow my participation thru teleconferencing," Hontiveros promised.

It was recalled yesterday that Malacañang had a proposal sent to the congress where the executive asked that President Duterte be given emergency powers to address the threat of infectious disease.

Some of the powers stated in the proposal include authorizing President Duterte to take over business establishments and public utilities to provide temporary accommodation for health workers.

Currently canceled by the administration of classes in schools, the government has also implemented an enhanced quarantine community throughout the island of Luzon. And recently the government has again subjected the whole Philippines to the "State of Calamity".

‘Masuwerte kayo Nagpatupad ang DU30 Govt ng Quarantine! Dito sa City ko sa Iran, Wala!’ – Filipina in Iran

In the midst of the massive “Enhanced Community Quarantine” currently being implemented in Luzon and other parts of the country as a precautionary measure of COVID-19, more and more people are reacting. Some agree and abide by the rules but some disagree.

A compatriot from Iran has voiced his opinion on this issue. She said to our fellow Filipinos, we should consider ourselves blessed because our government is responding to this crisis in the country.

Hanna Kahmeel's Facebook post on March 21 reads:

Here in Iran we have 19,644 cases of COVID-19 and 1,433 deaths. Our hometown has 3 death records from COVID-19 and yet our city is not locked down nor do we have a quarantine community. NOTHING. No checkpoints, no social distancing.

After a month of self isolation / quarantine, I went out yesterday (wearing gloves & mask) with Shoaib to buy groceries. To my surprise, there is still traffic, malls and restaurants still open and operating and people are not even practicing social distancing! Like wtf. We're almost on a 20k record and yet people seem like they don't even care nor alarmed with the outbreak.

So if you feel bad or pissed about the enhanced quarantine community in the Philippines, consider yourself lucky because at least you know that the government is doing something to slow down the spread of the virus. Be grateful and be thankful!

Just help the government by staying inside your home! Don't worry about food supplies because the government has a solution for that. Worry about getting the virus because there's nothing we can do about that (for now). THERE IS NO CURE.

Ignorance excuses no one!

PS: 1 month ago we only have 1 case of COVID-19. Today is Persian New Year and we cannot even celebrate nor visit our family or accept guest inside our house.

PPS: This photo was taken 3 weeks ago. I bring my son outside in a situation like this if it's not an emergency. But we have an appointment with his doctor because of his sprained ankle.

PINAKAUNANG PASYENTE NG COVID-19, LUMANTAD AT NAGSALITA SA PUBLIKO

The first Filipino reported to have covid-19 appeared on CNN Philippines. He recounted how he fought the disease. “I was COVID-19 patient no. 4. As patient no. 4, I was the first Filipino to be confirmed positive after a lull of more than a month following the three Chinese travelers from Wuhan, ”said Carlo Llanes Navarro.

According to Navarro, they traveled to Japan with his family before the covid-19 situation worsened in that country. Overseas, he and his family mentioned that they have taken preventive measures against the disease.

“In Tokyo, we thought we were making-up for the risk by always wearing our masks, vigorously washing and rubbing our hands with alcohol and Thieves essential oil, and wearing disposable latex gloves which we regularly changed and threw away throughout our five days there , ”Navarro promised.

Navarro suspects he got the virus inside the plane that flew him back to the Philippines. There was a passenger coughing wildly behind him.

After a week he was diagnosed with a fever. And here he says he decided to go to the hospital.

“Came down with the chills and a low grade fever of 37.7 degrees Celsius… That night of March 3, I decided to play it safe and that I be immediately tested. St. Luke's hospital did not see the need to test me. The hospital said my symptoms were mild, and Japan is not a Covid-19 hotspot, ”Navarro said.

Two days after being discharged at the hospital he lost his fever but was replaced by body aches and coughing. That same day he learned that he had been positive for the disease. But his roommates were negative.

“At this point, while in RITM, I prayed fervently to spare all of them. My mind was raising with scenarios that Evie and Gia [wife and daughter] survived in RITM. All their tests came back negative. Thank God! All I need now is to worry about myself, ”Navarro added.

He said he remained in the hospital for two weeks and was discharged.

According to Navarro, ignorance and lack of action is one of the quickest ways to spread the disease. He also insists on being honest if you are infected.

PDU30 May Patama Kay Mayor Vico, Nag-Warning sa mga LGUs!

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte warned the rebel local government units (LGUs) to comply with the national government's policy on enhanced community quarantine implemented throughout the island of Luzon.

“Let me add my own words. I'm really very sorry but I have to do it. Now I call [upon] LGUs. The national government needs your help during this time, but I want to tell you: Do not make this quarantine or quarantine more difficult for our people than it already is. LGUs should take note of this - that at this time let us make ourselves clear that we are not a separate from one republic or from each other… There is only one republic here, the Republic of the Philippines. And therefore, you must abide by the directives of the national government when it sets forth by the directives of the whole for the good of the country and the protocols observed during the time of the lockdown, ”said President Duterte.

President Duterte did not name Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto but noted that in some statements Sotto expressed frustration over preventing tricycles in his city from traveling.

Nandun yung doktor niya, nandun yung medical records nya,” Mayor Vico Sotto said.

“This is where I plead with the national government, so maybe you can consider the tricycle. It's no longer for tricycle drivers, it's for public health and safety. Because of me, in the risk assessment we did, if we didn't allow the tricycles, more people would die. Those who need surgery, those who have postoperative surgery, need hospitalization. Especially if you live in the World and live on PCGH. Her doctor is there, her medical records are there, ”Vico promised.

With her city giving out food packs, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte couldn't help but notice the residents of the city who were upset about her.

“To those who hate me, you are under no obligation to accept any of my projects - housing, education, healthcare, social benefits. That means there will be more for those who truly have faith in me as their leader, ”said Mayor belmonte.

"Mas mabuti na lang daw na ipakita ang pagkamuhi sa kanya sa 2022 elections at huwag politikahin ang buhay ng mga tao.

“But please just show your hatred for me at the polls in 2022 because the people who want to be served and patiently wait for it don’t deserve for their lives and that of their families to be politicized,”

("It would be better to show his hatred for him in the 2022 elections and not politicize people's lives.

"But please just show your hatred for me at the polls in 2022 because the people who want to be served and patiently wait for it don't deserve for their lives and that of their families to be politicized.")

Yesterday, eco bags were released on social media called "Joy for the People". The eco bag contains soap, medicine, face masks and alcohol.

Some of our countrymen are also lamenting the lack of adequate food supplies in their homes, as part of the prevention of the virus is currently implementing “enhanced community quarantine” throughout Central Luzon and other parts of the country. country.

As a result, most large establishments are temporarily closed, vehicles prohibited from traveling, and people are advised to stay only in their homes as much as possible, so it is not easy for some to find affordable housing. needs.

To solve this problem, the Pasay Local Government Unit (LGU) in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry will launch the Rolling Stores, according to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano. The exact date when it will begin is uncertain.

JOMA SISON TO FILIPINOS: Ang Coronavirus Lockdown ay Para Takutin Ang Mga Tao

By the beginning of March news contents have been about the increasing number of Filipinos infected with coronavirus (covid-19). President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has taken several steps to counter the rapid spread of the disease. Some of these include suspension of classes for one month and placing the entire Luzon under community quarantine.

President Duterte also appealed to the communist rebels to stop fighting the government first and to help covid the 19.

“You NPAs, do you love the government? 'If not, help. Distancing don't touch our soldiers yet. What do we do first is, ceasefire. I'm asking, let us have a ceasefire… If you really want that we will be at all times on talking terms, in this time of crisis, kindly cooperate and help. It's better to help first. I will repay you with a good heart in the coming days, ”said President Duterte.

Ceasefire muna tayo. Ako na ang naghihingi, ceasefire… If you really want that we will be at all times on talking terms, in this time of crisis, kindly cooperate and help. Mas mabuti pa tumulong muna kayo. I will repay you with a good heart in the coming days,” said Duterte.)

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo also explained the benefits of the ceasefire.

“Through this ceasefire, the Philippine Government aspires that the swift provision of public health assistance goes unimpeded and that the movement of health workers and medical supplies to communities, as well as of peoples in need of immediate medical attention, remains unhampered,” said Sec. Panelo.

But in a statement, Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Maria Sison responded to the government's appeal for the ceasefire. Instead of responding and working together to curb the spread of the disease, he accused the government of not being sincere in the ceasefire offer.

“The ceasefire declaration by the Duterte regime is premature, if not insincere and false. The militarist lockdown on the whole of Luzon is meant not to fight the covid-19 pandemic but to intimidate the people, suppress democratic rights, commit human rights violations and prevent the working people from going to their workplaces, ”said Sison.

ELI SORIANO UMIYAK, SINABIHAN SI VP ROBREDO: Mag-isip ka! Tumulong ka kay PDU30

Members of the Church of God International (MCGI) and Ang Dating Daan (ADD) leader Brother Eli Soriano dislike the continuing criticisms against President Duterte amid the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) in Philippines.

In a video, Bro. Eli supports the government's decision to mobilize the military for the enhanced community quarantine.

According to the religious leader, he understood the seriousness of President Duterte's problems about the outbreak and urged the administration's critics to help the current administration.

“Ang masasabi ko lang sa mga kontra-partido ni Presidente Duterte, sana kalimutan niyo na muna yung politika, eh bakit kailangan ng sundalo? E mayroong matigas ng ulo kaya kailangan nga ng sundalo, hindi naman para pagmalupitan ang tao, para lang hindi mapigil ang pagkalat ng virus,” said Soriano.

("All I can say for President Duterte's counter-parties is, let's forget about politics first, why the army? "There is a stubbornness that the soldiers really need, not to hurt people, just to prevent the spread of the virus."

It seems Vice President Leni Robredo really received a sermon from Bro. Eli.

("Those politicians who do not want to be opposed, please cooperate, I want to ask a personal plea to the Vice President, because every time the Vice President declares it seems to me he is always against President Duterte." … So being President is God willing, instead of countering our conflict we will help you, think how you can help Vice President, whose declaration is not always against the Duterte administration, let's forget about politics first, Vice President Robredo, please join in the prayer."

Mga Dudura at Sisinga sa Kalsada sa Maynila, Makukulong!

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso signed Ordinance No. 8621 or "Anti-Spitting Ordinance of 2020" on Monday, which will be effective beginning this Friday.

Under the aforementioned ordinance, it is strictly prohibited to spit or release sputum, saliva, or mucus through their mouth or nose in public places in Manila. It is also part of the escalating caution in the threat of deadly COVID-19.

Any person found guilty of violating such an ordinance may be subject to the following penalties:

1st Offense- P1000
2nd Offense- P3000
3rd Offense- P5000, Attendance at a Health Seminar at the Manila Health Department or Detention of No More Than One Month

“Considering the gravity of the situation, there is an urgent need to institute a concrete preventive measure to stop the spread of the disease that has become a global health emergency and pandemic. These measures will not only prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 but also other contagious airborne diseases. This would also help spread environmental and health consciousness among the citizens apart from changing societal habits and unhygienic lifestyles, ”according to the ordinance.

Maxine muntik masilip ang ‘pisngi ng langit’

Due to the nude tone bikini worn by former Binibing Pilipinas Ms. Universe Maxine Medina, super bashing is what resulted to this daring picture she posted in Instagram. This is the first-time she received this kind of harsh bashing as being one of the starlets of “Los Bastardos.”

Medina's "pisngi ng langit" can be seen enough due to her very tiny bikini. She was glittering in her one piece bikini and could be a candidate for Ms. Tambok Queen, according to one reporter. She really is an apt candidate due to the bikini of her choice.

She received heavy bashing from the conservatives. But to the liberated women, they said she empowered their views on what Medina did.

Wala nang CoronaVirus Sa Wuhan, China: ZERO na sa Domestic Infections!

After several weeks of fighting coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19), China has announced that no new infections have been reported in Whuhan City, the area believed to be the source of covid-19.

It is worth noting that during the height of the epidemic, the Chinese government was forced to implement a transport lockdown in the city.

Some of the actions of the Chinese government have been to ban public gatherings.

Europe was recently declared the new epicenter of cornavirus.

“Europe has now become the epicentre of the pandemic, with more reported cases and deaths than the rest of the world combined, apart from China… More cases are now being reported every day than were reported in China at the height of its epidemic,” says Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on March 13.

The drug has been given to coronavirus patients in Japan since February 2020. Covid-19-positive patients have been regenerating within days after being given Avigan. The drug is being prepared for mass production.

Other than Japan's Avigan medicine, researchers from the United States are also developing a covid-19 vaccine. Only on March 16 the United States tested the vaccines on Jennifer Haller, who volunteered to be tested. After injecting the vaccine, Haller left the examination room smiling.

“We're a coronavirus team now… Everyone wants to do what they can in this emergency… We don't know whether this vaccine will induce an immune response or whether it will be safe. That's why we're doing a trial… It's not at the stage where it would be possible or prudent to give it to the general population, ”said Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute study leader Dr. Lisa Jackson.

Anak ni Kiko Pangilinan to Duterte: Mapapatay ba ng Baril ang Coronavirus? Bakit may Militar?

To counteract the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) in our country, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has implemented an enhanced quarantine community in Metro Manila. And in order to enforce the quarantine properly, the government mobilized the police and army forces to maintain order and security.

But some have questioned the President's decision to include police and soldiers in the fight against covid-19. One of them is Senator Franciso "Kiko" Pangilinan's daughter Frankie. Frankie said: can guns kill the virus?

“So i’ll read a book or maybe two or three 📚
i'll add a few new paintings to my gallery 🎨
i'll play guitar 🎸
and knit
and cook 🍲🍳
and basically 🤷🏻‍♀️
just wondering
how are our health workers?
why is military force necessary?
are guns supposed to kill the virus?
ANYTHING MUCH, ”said Frankie's on her social media post.

Here are the netizens'response:

"It is noteworthy that some medical workers have supported the military in combating the spread of coronavirus."

"In case your self-serving ignorant hoarding self has not noticed, there is already chaos."

"So you expect doctors to police this chaos because it is a health concern? you expect doctors to lay an iron fist on your undisciplined character? by all means good Sir, you have no idea how much control we foster upon ourselves just not to harm your self-centered precious little lives. banat ni Dr. Just now."

"Why do we have a military? Don't you think we are tired of the health workers on the show (with nCov, PUI and PUM patients) and still want us to keep checking points?" Kevin Salvador said
Salvador.

“To answer this, we all must realize that health practitioners are not trained to maintain peace and order. We cannot legally use our stethoscopes str to strangle our patients into telling us their medical history. I could probably use my MMA skills to hold down a squirming child who needs to get IV fluids — but that's it. We are not trained to use force. Is force needed? Look out for awhile and notice that people have hoarded supplies and they have gone on exodus from ground zero. If we sent out medical interns in the streets, nobody would help us take care of people who contracted illness after, say, holding rallies during this time of pandemonium… So yes, the medical community needs the military, too." . Dr. Patrick said.

Mga Trapo NagTeTake Advantage sa COVID-19: Nilagyan ng Litrato at Pangalan ang Alcohol

Anything Lokal posted in its Facebook page a picture of a revised alcohol with a picture of two politicians, Councilor Princess Abante and husbaand Congressman Benny Abante.

This brazenly shows the true colors of these despicable politicians taking advantages just to advertise their own names so people will remember them, and when elections come, hooowah, they will lose. You know why? 'Cause that kind of propaganda has already been sold out, its been obsolete. people hate it.

It is a clear display of self-interest among these trapos. We don't need to elaborate more. Nothing else left to say. Just looking at this improvized ethly alcohol with their pictures, it already tells the truth about their character.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently went public to speak on the threat of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in our country. Here, the President announced that there will be a community quarantine in Metro Manila to counter the continued spread of the disease.

“Community quarantine is hereby imposed in the [entirety] of Metro Manila and in other - in other areas the LGUs are advised to abide by the following guidelines imposing localized community quarantine in their respective jurisdictions. For Manila, there's ... We don't want to use that but because you fear saying "lockdown". And it's - but it's a lockdown, "President Duterte said.

Some sectors of our society have never missed the opportunity to meet President Duterte. There were some critics who insulted President Duterte's speech and manner in his public address.

Disgruntled breeders of critics disliked Twitter User @KumeSalud.

“Let the toxic talangka politicize & use the virus to attack the government. Let them make fun of the denim jacket, bisaya accents & pronunciation issues. Allow them to celebrate & take advantage of natural disasters & bombings, ”recalls @KumeSalud.

According to Twitter users, this is likely to be the downfall of critics by 2022.

“It will be their own downfall in 2022. Mark my words,” said @KumeSalud.

“Just 5 minutes ago I watched the president's presscon, the toxic cracks in the comments section spread. These people are hopeless, ”@KumeSalud added.

On March 12, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced that the government will implement community quarantine in the National Capital Region. It is to combat the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“Community quarantine is hereby imposed in the [entirety] of Metro Manila and in other - in other areas the LGUs are advised to abide by the following guidelines imposing localized community quarantine in their respective jurisdictions. For Manila, there's ... We don't want to use that but because you are afraid to say it “Lockdown”. And a - but it's a lockdown. There is no struggle of power here. No fight here, no war. It's just a matter of protecting and defending you from COVID-19. That's about it. It has nothing to do with the power of the military or the power of the police, nor or my power and of these guys beside me. Not that. It's not an issue of - it's just an issue of protecting public interest and public health. That's all, ”President Duterte explained.

In a social media post, James Carwyn Candila criticized President Duterte's move. For Candila, this is just a tactic to advance martial law in the region. Candila is a member of Vito Cruz's Anakbayan leftist group.

“Today, Duterte is using the THE COVID-19 crisis to establish Martial Law in Metro Manila,” Candila said.

Candila also did not like the involvement of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in the said quarantine community.

“HE WILL MOBILIZE THE AFP AND PNP TO ROVE AROUND OUR STREETS. IF THE YOUTH IS CAUGHT, THEY WILL BE BROUGHT TO POLICE STATION FOR QUESTIONING, ”Candila added.

Candila's ballads against the administration have attracted a variety of comments.

Ang US Army ang nagdala ng Coronavirus sa China - Foreign Ministry Spokesman

In a social media post, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson blames the United States. According to Zhao Lijian, American soldiers may have brought coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to Wuhan, China.

“When did patient zero begin in the US? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make your data public! US owe us an explanation! ” said Zhao.

Zhao has not shown any evidence of his allegation.

China does not like the United States' comments on its COVID-19 fight.

United States National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien on Wednesday blamed China's slow action against the coronavirus.

“Unfortunately, rather than using best practices, this outbreak in Wuhan was covered up… It probably cost the world community two months to respond during which we could have dramatically curtailed what happened both in China and what's now happening across the world… We have done a good job responding to it but… the way that it started out in China, and the way it was handled from the outset, was not right, ”O'Brien said.

According to Xhao's fellow spokeperson Geng Shuang, comments by US National Security Adviser O'Brien were immoral and irresponsible.

"We wish that few officials in the US would at this time concentrate their energy on responding to the virus and promoting cooperation, and not on shifting the blame to China," Geng said.

The coronavirus is believed to have originated in an exotic and wildlife market in Wuhan City, China. Almost all cases worldwide come from China. But in recent weeks most of the new cases of covid-19 have been reported outside of China.

According to a Straits Times article, covid-19 has infected more than 119,100 people worldwide and more than 4,200 have died, most of them in China.

Karen Davila Umepal: Si Duterte Hindi Rin Pwede Bumalik sa Davao Dahil sa Lockdown?

Yesterday the government declared “community quarantine” throughout the Philippines to counter the continued spread of coronavirus (covid-19).

Some of the directives include restriction on land, sea and air travel for almost a month. Even classes throughout Metro Manila have also been suspended.

“It's just a matter of protecting and defending you from COVID-19. That's about it. It has nothing to do with the power of the military or the police, nor my power or these guys beside me. It's just an issue of protecting the public interest, "President Duterte explained.

President Duterte also urged the public to work together to counter the spread of the disease.

“It's a serious one. It is true, 'don't belittle it'. Do not minimize it. But as I said, don't kill yourself with worry because as I said, the government is doing everything to make it at least controllable, ”said President Duterte.

The President also advised students to focus on the lessons rather than immerse themselves in their gadgets.

“Avoid trouble with the law, avoid trouble with anybody. Just follow. Better just stay home and study… If you don't want to, you can stick with your cellphone.” the President said.

President Duterte is now giving the Local Government Units outside of Metro Manila a decision on whether they will also conduct classes cancellation.

But ABS-CBN news anchor Karen Davila has a question about the restriction. In his Twitter post, Davila questioned whether President Duterte was involved in travel lockdown.

“The President means well. My question is by imposing a domestic travel lockdown in Metro Manila for 1 month, does it mean he also can't go back to Davao? # Covid19, ”Davila said.

A live video last night of President Duterte's public address about the COVID-19 made Filipinos' senses activated. Many had goosebumps. Even spokesman Panelo, as seen in the video as the camera directed to him after the President said about how lucky the generation of today because they have cellphones to get busy with, while the President's generation did not have that luxury. He opened up this subject since he proclaimed finally the Metro Manila lockdown because of the COVID-19. So, young people, adolescence and college students just have to have cellphones while they are advised to stay at their own homes. But he further recommended that it's better to study (obviously read good books) than browsing the Net with their cellphones.

The rest of the speech we can observe President Duterte's aura and sincerity when words came out his mouth. We also can observe his great love for the Filipino people, especially law-abiding citizens. All you gotta see is his eyes and the love in the air. He spoke last night as if he was our dad or grandfather.

Those who are present in Malcanang during the public address where the President spoke, was very attentive and apparently was very satisfied with the President's address. This was shown on the loud applause after the President said 'thank you' to everyone after his speech.

“After 20 years of paying taxes I can now feel it is going somewhere,” sabi ni Tiangco.
