Anak ni Kiko Pangilinan to Duterte: Mapapatay ba ng Baril ang Coronavirus? Bakit may Militar?

To counteract the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) in our country, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has implemented an enhanced quarantine community in Metro Manila. And in order to enforce the quarantine properly, the government mobilized the police and army forces to maintain order and security.

But some have questioned the President's decision to include police and soldiers in the fight against covid-19. One of them is Senator Franciso "Kiko" Pangilinan's daughter Frankie. Frankie said: can guns kill the virus?

“So i’ll read a book or maybe two or three 📚
i'll add a few new paintings to my gallery 🎨
i'll play guitar 🎸
and knit
and cook 🍲🍳
and basically 🤷🏻‍♀️
just wondering
how are our health workers?
why is military force necessary?
are guns supposed to kill the virus?
ANYTHING MUCH, ”said Frankie's on her social media post.

Here are the netizens'response:

"It is noteworthy that some medical workers have supported the military in combating the spread of coronavirus."

"In case your self-serving ignorant hoarding self has not noticed, there is already chaos."

"So you expect doctors to police this chaos because it is a health concern? you expect doctors to lay an iron fist on your undisciplined character? by all means good Sir, you have no idea how much control we foster upon ourselves just not to harm your self-centered precious little lives. banat ni Dr. Just now."

"Why do we have a military? Don't you think we are tired of the health workers on the show (with nCov, PUI and PUM patients) and still want us to keep checking points?" Kevin Salvador said
Salvador.

“To answer this, we all must realize that health practitioners are not trained to maintain peace and order. We cannot legally use our stethoscopes str to strangle our patients into telling us their medical history. I could probably use my MMA skills to hold down a squirming child who needs to get IV fluids — but that's it. We are not trained to use force. Is force needed? Look out for awhile and notice that people have hoarded supplies and they have gone on exodus from ground zero. If we sent out medical interns in the streets, nobody would help us take care of people who contracted illness after, say, holding rallies during this time of pandemonium… So yes, the medical community needs the military, too." .
