Senator Koko Pimentel today issued a statement regarding his positive test to coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19).
At the same time, his statement raised concerns that the senator allegedly violated the qurantine protocols. He brought his wife at the hospital to give birth even though he had possible covid-19 symptoms.
The Makati Medical Center has released a statement about the incident. According to the hospital administration, they strongly condemn Senator Pimentel's policy violation.
As lawmakers have done, the hospital's workforce will be further reduced because some doctors and nurses will need to be quarantine
