After Senator Koko Pimentel received a stern bashes on social media for entering the hospital to accompany his pregnant wife who was about to give birth, despite he's a coronavirus (covid-19) person under investigation (PUI), he spoke on the issue.
According to the senator who has just tested positive for Coronavirus, he did not cough, so people have no reason to fear. He also feels discriminated he said.
“First of all, I'm not coughing so I don't scatter droplets. I don't cough so 'don't be too scared ... I understand those who are scared but' do not discriminate because now I feel like I'm being discriminated, 'said Senator Pimentel.
Senator Pimentel also called on the public to understand him simply because he was "excited" to be a father.
“I'm just asking for some understanding. Of course any man, father would be excited. I don't know, ”Senator Pimentel added.
Recently, the hospital management has issued a statement confirming that Senator Pimentel has violated the quarantine protocols. Due to the legislature's actions, the remaining doctors and nurses will still need to be quarantined.

Pimentel was the second senator to be covid-19 positive. Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri was recently infected with the disease.
