Ang US Army ang nagdala ng Coronavirus sa China - Foreign Ministry Spokesman

In a social media post, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson blames the United States. According to Zhao Lijian, American soldiers may have brought coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to Wuhan, China.

“When did patient zero begin in the US? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make your data public! US owe us an explanation! ” said Zhao.

Zhao has not shown any evidence of his allegation.

China does not like the United States' comments on its COVID-19 fight.

United States National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien on Wednesday blamed China's slow action against the coronavirus.

“Unfortunately, rather than using best practices, this outbreak in Wuhan was covered up… It probably cost the world community two months to respond during which we could have dramatically curtailed what happened both in China and what's now happening across the world… We have done a good job responding to it but… the way that it started out in China, and the way it was handled from the outset, was not right, ”O'Brien said.

According to Xhao's fellow spokeperson Geng Shuang, comments by US National Security Adviser O'Brien were immoral and irresponsible.

"We wish that few officials in the US would at this time concentrate their energy on responding to the virus and promoting cooperation, and not on shifting the blame to China," Geng said.

The coronavirus is believed to have originated in an exotic and wildlife market in Wuhan City, China. Almost all cases worldwide come from China. But in recent weeks most of the new cases of covid-19 have been reported outside of China.

According to a Straits Times article, covid-19 has infected more than 119,100 people worldwide and more than 4,200 have died, most of them in China.
