Localized Lockdown: Advice ng DOH

In the presence of the Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III in congress, the secretary has recommended a localized lockdown to prevent the spread of infectious coronavirus (covid-19).

According to the health secretary, 33 of the covid-19 recipients were still in the list, 31 of them were mild, while 2 were in critical condition.

“Based on our objective criteria, we will see a possible lockdown. Kung mayroon man, localized. Hindi po ito buong lugar,” sabi ni Sec. Duque sa pagdinig sa kamara.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has not yet agreed to carry out a lockdown across the country.

In an interview with Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, he said security forces were ready in the event of a localized lockdown.

“Prepared tayo kung magkakaroon ng lockdown. We have the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines to help the Local Government Units,” paliwanag ni DILG Secretary Año.
