Senator Panfilo Lacson believes that President Rodrigo Duterte cannot make his own threat come true if someone files an impeachment case against him.
"The President knows he can't do it and we know he won't do it," Lacson said in a statement.
The President's only concern is that one third of the members of the Congress will feel more challenged than scared of the threat.
Even more problematic is the fact that the 16 senators are convinced of the evidence to be presented at the hearing.
"Everything of course is hypothetical," the senator added.
President Duterte proudly said on Thursday: “Impeach me? I will listen to them all. Give it a try. Try to take it, do it, and I will do it. ”
