Malunggay, Pampalakas ng Resistensiya laban sa Coronavirus ayon sa DOH Official


By the beginning of March, there have already been more than 30 reported cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. Some of these are local transmission. It means those who did not travel overseas but were still infected.

Because of the threat of coronavirus, our countrymen cannot avoid to panic-buy protective and hygiene supplies such as alcohols and facial masks.

But do you know that there are other ways to combat this infectious diseases? In a tip given by Department of Health Secretary (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duqure III in late January, it said to mix horseradish with foods to strengthen our body's resistance to coronavirus or any other disease. Some of the foods you need to eat are foods rich in Vitamins A, C, E and Mineral zinc.

The Secretary added, wash your hands regularly.

Secretary Duque also advised Filipinos to avoid populated areas.

On January 30, the DOH announced the first confirmed case of CODIV-19 in the Philippines. The patient was a 38-year-old Chinese woman who visited the country on January 21. The patient was from Wuhan City, China. It visited the Philippines from Hong Kong. The patient complained of coughing and was taken to a government hospital. It has been reported that the patient has also visited Cebu and Dumaguete.
