It was previously reported that Solicitor General Jose Calida had filed a quo warranto against ABS-CBN. The network also issued a statement and denied the allegations against them. President Duterte has repeatedly threatened to oppose ABS-CBN's renewal of their franchise which is set to expire next March. To date, ABS-CBN renewal is still pending in Congress.
