Despite of her popularity and being fantasized by most men these days, sexy actress Ivana Alawi is also going through a bitter experience like people judging her unfairly.
Ivana said she, as a child, was being judged because of her Filipino mother. But she didn't shy away from it when people around her made fun of her.
Her father, Samier Al-Alawi, is Moroccan, and her mother, Fatima Marbella, is pure Pinay. She was studying in Bahrain so those around her were Arabs.
According to her, her mother was really hands-on with them and really took them to school. It was during those times when people around them were in shock and even asked if the one following her is a housemaid. Her mother was mistaken for a maid.
"Is that your helper?" she asked little Ivana to which she immediately replied “No! That's my mom. "
"For me, don't look down on the Filipinos because we work hard, and we work (hard) really!" sigh the actress.
She even expressed how much she respected and respected her mother for being so firm. She said that even in the times she had given up on her desire to be an actress, her mother had never given up trying to push her into acting.
So when she had her first shoot, even though she only had one or two lines, her mommy even changed her line to get her more motivated.
