For Senator Bong Go, it is better for government employees to resign if they are not satisfied with their salary.
“Many Filipinos like to work hard. For those who are dissatisfied with serving faithfully, it is better to give your job to someone else who wants to serve the country and not to become rich, '' Go said.
“Let's go to the government to serve. Not for wealth. Low wages are not a reason to be corrupt. It is our priority to serve the people. The welfare of our fellow Filipinos has always been our priority, '' it said.
This comes after a Senate hearing revealed that some Bureau of Immigration (BI) workers have been bribed because of their overtime pay.
